How the Buy-Back Program Works
If you’ve had a repair done and decide within the following window that a new HVAC and Plumbing system makes more sense, here’s how much of that repair cost applies toward it:
- Days 0–90: 100% of your repair cost
- Days 91–180: 50% of your repair cost
- Days 181–365: 25% of your repair cost
The sooner you decide, the more of that repair cost carries forward — but there’s no deadline pressure here. It’s simply how the credit is structured.

- Maximum eligible repair credit is $2,500 per HVAC system.
- One credit per system; same equipment/property only; net repair amount after discounts; customer-paid warranty portion only; no cash value; expires after 365 days. The repair date is the original invoice date when the repair was completed and paid. This date determines the 90-, 180-, and 365-day eligibility windows.
- Eligible repairs include: Completed mechanical repairs restoring operation (compressors, motors, boards, gas valves, capacitors, contactors, TXVs, etc.).
- Non-eligible repairs include: Diagnostics, dispatch/trip, leak searches, inspections, maintenance, refrigerant only, taxes, financing, evaporator coil replacement only (R22/R410A), condenser coil replacement only (R22/R410A).
